Water Damage in a Lexington Porch

The flat roof over this Lexington home porch leaked and allowed rainwater to saturate the ceiling tiles and the supporting framing. Our SERVPRO team first placed a tarp over the hole in the roof to keep out further water. We removed the damaged ceiling tiles and some of the furnishings. The owner requested that we also toss the carpet before we started our drying out service. Our applied structural drying technician set up air movers and dehumidifiers to remove remaining moisture from the affected areas. We also sprayed an antifungal agent to inhibit the growth of mold.
